Kristen Richardson earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Masters in Accounting from the University of South Florida. She obtained her CPA license upon graduation and worked as an auditor for Ernst & Young, where she gained extensive exposure to the healthcare, real estate and securities industries of both private and publicly held companies. Additionally she gained experience in public SEC filings and participated in the filings for a $75 million IPO. When Kristen moved into private corporate accounting, she began as an Accounting Manager and over five years moved up to VP of Finance for a National Oil and Gas company.
When Kristen and her husband decided they wanted more than two children, Kristen moved away from the corporate world and became an independent contractor performing accounting, finance and tax services for small businesses. As a contractor she gained experience in the promotional marketing and non-profit industries.
Kristen thoroughly enjoys the chance Randolph Business Resources affords her to work with small to medium sized businesses. She likes the process of getting to know the business and the business owners and working with them to create accurate, timely and meaningful reporting on which they may make solid business decisions. Over more than 14 years of working with small businesses, Kristen has assisted in standardizing and streamlining accounting and business processes, evaluating and implementing new accounting software, creating useful financial reporting, budgets and forecast modeling. She has demonstrated in-depth experience in Excel and several business and accounting software applications.
Kristen has been happily married to her husband, Jeff, for 25 years. They have 4 children with whom they spend their free time loving and supporting! They enjoy hiking, the outdoors and just plain hanging out together!
